in our Zillertal
Anyone who has already felt the clear mountain air rushing past them when cycling in Zillertal will know that there is no better place on earth for cycling.
Enjoy the impressive backdrop of mountains and rich countryside as you cycle along the banks of the Ziller river or the many small streams – with an extensive network of cycle paths that stretches over 800 km, there are different routes to suit all tastes and abilities.
A particular scenic mountain bike tour for cyclists who love panoramic views leads from Bruck am Ziller via the Hansletalm (1,620 m) and on to the Wiedersbergerhorn Hut (2,000 m) below the mountain with the same name.
For very fit bikers, the round trip around the Kellerjoch mountain from Fügen is highly recommended. The long, but not too steep ascent is ideal endurance training and the scenery is particularly attractive.
Highlights for racing cyclists are the high roads of the Zillertal and the Gerlos mountain pass road, whose steep ascents, winding roads and numerous peaks along the way provide ideal conditions for a fantastic tour.
Freeriders can look forward to challenging single trails, while families can enjoy the beautiful scenery in the valley basin along the easy 30 km Zillertal cycle path.
